Breeding Program

We are planning 2 litters in 2026. The first will be Indie and Gritty. This pairing should take place in February or March. The second pairing is with Raven and Riz. This should take place late march or April. It’s possible for it to be early May. All 4 dogs have all their health certifications as well as hips evaluated. We have an application process. Please send us a contact request using the contact tab on our home page.

Riz

Stoney Ridge Artemis

Riz, at 14 months old is turning into a hunting machine. Holds point forever. Covers ground gracefully at 200-300 yards. Doesn’t miss much because he has a great pace, very through. Retrieves to hand 85% of time right now. He has a very soft disposition. So training him is a joy.

His extreme desire to please allows him to pickup new technics very quickly. At home he’s happiest carrying a toy around whether inside or outside. Gets along with other dogs very well. Loves taking naps with me in my chair. He truly has been a great addition to our kennel.

Riz weighs 52 lbs and stands 24”. Riz has completed his Navhda NA Test at the age 6.8 months with a Prize 1 112. He also completed his Navhda UT Test Prize 2 187.

Indie

Indie (Riden High Felicia) is out of the first litter of Riz (Stoney Ridge Artemis) and Birdie (Hun Hill Firecracker).

She is truly an all-around versatile hunting dog that excels in a variety of field situations. When working close cover for quail, grouse or pheasant, she generally works 20 to 50 yards showing great connection with her owners and cooperation. However, in chukar and sharp-tail country she regularly ranges out 100 to 250 yards and can go all day long. It is not unusual for her to cover 30 miles on a single, full day hunt and given her “tight feet”, she can hunt this hard multiple days in a row.

Given her excellent nose, she can pick up scent in open country from hundreds of yards away when the conditions are right. She has a beautiful natural point, retrieves to hand, swims willingly and has a very strong desire to please. Her medium dense, medium harsh coat is extremely tight making grooming and field clean up a breeze. When not in the field, Indie loves doing anything with her family and has those fantastic house manners that Griff’s are known for.

Indie stands 21 inches tall and weighs 47 pounds. She completed NAVDHA Natural Ability test with a Prize 1 110 at the 15 months of age.

Gritty

RJ’S Gritty

Gritty is a high-prey drive, three-year old male with heavy Stoneyridge lines owned by Jason Koertge. His nose is otherworldly and he finished the tracking portion of his NA test in just 50 seconds. He runs hard and fast at 350-450 yds in chukar country, automatically adjusting to 30-40 yds in pheasant cover or the grouse woods. He enjoys water work and retrieving ducks. With a handsome point, he naturally honors and does not break, even when expected to hold for over 30 minutes in steep country. Equal parts weapon and lover, Gritty has a dense, harsh, low-maintenance coat with the sweet demeanor of a couch potato. At home, he is never very far away from his owner.

Gritty weighs 55 lbs and stands at XX. He was awarded a Prize 1, 112 in his NAVDHA Natural Abilities Test at 15 months. .

Koda

Riden High Bouncing Betty

Koda has aged out for breeding.

Ridenhigh’s bouncing Betty(aka Koda) is a phenomenal bird dog and companion. When the collars go on and the guns come out so does the energy and drive in Koda. Along with having an insane prey drive and great search she has a rock solid point which makes her a great bird dog for chukar on the hills or pheasants and quail in heavy cover. When Chukar hunting she typically ranges out too 250-350 yards. At  home she has a great off switch and is very mellow and great around people. If we aren’t out hunting she is either carrying toys around the house or laying on her bed.

Birdie

Hun Hill Firecracker

Birdie has aged out for breeding.

This girl is a dream of a bird dog! This dog LOVES to go anywhere! She has a high prey drive and is a big runner, making it hard for chukars and quail to hide. She also loves to duck hunt and will sit in a blind, anxious to retrieve the down birds. When at home, she is a wonderfully quiet and sweet girl when we’re in the house, a true “off switch”. She loves to learn and lives to please.

Birdie weighs 48 lbs and stands 24”. Starsky has completed her Navhda NA Test With a Prize 1 112 at 12 months of age.

Griff

Griff has aged out for breeding.

Griff is a 2 year old wirehaired griffon who is impossible to not love. She is a competent versatile hunting dog. She swims readily, covers the field and has an excellent nose. When she scents birds, her “birdie” body language is enthusiastic and exciting for any hunter. In Chukar country with sparse cover, Her range is 100 – 300 yards. When in thick cover she seems to have a natural desire to hunt closer, showing great cooperation, and the desire to please. Griff seems to do especially well with quail and can focus in the chaos of quail-covey-flushing. She points naturally and honors. She is extremely gentle and sweet, and is an excellent family dog no matter whether it’s hunting season or not. She loves to bring items to hand, tail wagging, all day long, in the house or the field.

Griff weighs 50 lbs and stands 22”.
Griff scored a Prize 1 112 in her natural ability test at 15 months.

Starsky

Hun Hill Fat Bottom Girl

Starsky has aged out for breeding.

Starsky is a phenomenal versatile hunting dog. She will sit in the duck blind all day, waiting patiently. Once ducks are knocked down she hits the river like a champion retrieving ducks to hand. When multiple ducks are downed she resends easily for search and retrieve to hand. When in Chukar country she has a very strong prey drive. Her range is 300 – 400 yards. She has no quit in her when pheasant and quail in heavy cover. Starsky is a great house dog and loves her family.

Starsky weighs 53 lbs and stands 22”. Starsky has completed her Navhda NA Test With a Prize 1 112 at 12 months of age.

Bree

Hun Hill Carolina Breeze

Bree is a high horsepower big running girl. Her prey drive is off the chart. I own a Garmin Alpha not because they are cool. Lol. As she has come of age, she has come into her own. Currently 5 years old.

When Chukar hunting the only two things that are said all day is fetch and drop. ( Most Days ) When the hunt is over her favorite place is in my chair with me. She has an amazing off switch. Her personality is sweet and gentle. She thinks she’s all that and a bag a chips. When she carriers herself in that manner it just makes you laugh. Anyone have a camera?

Bree weighs 50 lbs and stands 22”. Bree has completed her AKC JR Hunt Title, Her Navhda NA Prize 1 and Her Navhda Utility Test Prize 1 194.

Bree is no longer breeding. She is the foundation of our kennel.
